How to use it

  1. Put in the week and the kids, then for each day who’s doing drop-off and pick-up, and when.
  2. Add what happens after school: practice, a playdate, who drives.
  3. Press Print, or save it as a PDF and send it to the family. Leave it empty for a blank sheet to fill in by hand.
  4. Prefer a spreadsheet? Download the template for Google Sheets or Excel (links under the sheet), and copy the week tab each Sunday.

The rule that makes a schedule work: a pickup is covered when somebody’s name is on it, not when everyone assumes someone has it.

FAQ

Questions parents ask

What should a weekly family schedule include?

For each day: who does drop-off and when, who does pick-up and when, and what happens after school, such as practice and who drives. Add the kids’ names and the week it’s for, and keep it where everyone can see it.

Is there a free weekly family schedule template for Google Sheets?

Yes. Download the CSV and open it in Google Sheets with File, then Import, then Upload, or download the Excel version. Both are free with no sign-up.

Can I print a blank weekly schedule?

Yes. Leave the fields empty and press Print, and you get a blank grid to fill in by hand.

Is anything I type saved?

No. The page runs in your browser and sends nothing to Kid Pickup. Close the tab and it’s gone.

A sheet can’t tell you nobody has Thursday.

Kid Pickup gives every pickup one person who said “I’ll do it”, and sends a nudge when one still has nobody. Your sitter and grandparents never pay.
