How to ask the family for help when you’re stuck

Open your family’s page by tapping its name at the top of Home, then Request Help. Choose the children, the time and, if you like, the place, write a short message, and tap Send Help Request. Everyone who could go gets “Can you help?” with an I’ll do it button.

Where to find it

  1. Home
  2. Your family’s name
  3. Request Help

Who can do this

The family owner, and parents and guardians who can add pickups.

Step by step

  1. On Home, tap your family’s name at the top to open the Family page.

  2. Under Quick Actions, tap Request Help.

  3. Under Which children need help?, tap the children.

  4. Under When do you need help?, set the date and time, and add a location if you like.

  5. Write a Message to helpers, like “Stuck in a meeting, can anyone get Lily at 3:15?”.

  6. Tap Send Help Request.

What happens next

  • An urgent, open pickup goes on the calendar with your message in its notes.
  • Everyone who could go gets “Can you help?” with your message and I’ll do it and Can’t make it buttons, and an email if they’ve turned email on.
  • The first “I’ll do it” puts their name on it, and the rest of the family is told.
