How to send a pickup to someone without the app

Open an open pickup and tap Send someone a link, choose the person, and send the link by text or any app. They open it and tap I’ll do it or Can’t make it, with no app or password. The family is told either way.

Where to find it

  1. Open the pickup
  2. Send someone a link

Who can do this

The family owner, parents and guardians, for an open pickup. The person you send it to must be on your family’s list.

Step by step

  1. Open a pickup that nobody has yet and tap Send someone a link.

  2. Tap the name of the person to send it to.

  3. Your phone’s share sheet opens with “Can you do this pickup?” and the link. Send it by Messages, WhatsApp or anything else.

  4. They open the link and tap I’ll do it or Can’t make it.

What happens next

  • The family gets the same notification as if they’d answered in the app.

Good to know

  • The link shows that one pickup only, with the children’s first names, and stops working a couple of hours after it.
  • Your note on the pickup goes with the link, so keep things like gate codes out of it.
  • The person needs to be added to your family first. See inviting someone.
