How to set up a repeating pickup, and change just one day

In the pickup form, choose Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks or Monthly under Repeat, tap the days, and set when it ends. Later, when you edit or delete one, Kid Pickup asks Just this one, This and the ones after or Every one, so one change doesn’t move the whole series.

Where to find it

  1. +
  2. Fill in the form
  3. Repeat

Who can do this

Anyone who can add pickups can set one up. Changing or deleting it is up to the owner, and parents and guardians the owner allows.

Step by step

  1. In the form, under Repeat, choose Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks or Monthly.

  2. For weekly ones, tap the days under On these days.

  3. Under Ends, choose Never or On date… and pick the last day. Then tap Create Event.

  4. To change one later, open it and tap Edit Event, make the change, and tap Save Changes.

  5. Choose Just this one, This and the ones after or Every one.

  6. To delete, open it, tap Delete Event, and choose the same way.

What happens next

  • Everyone who can see it gets a notification saying what changed and who changed it, like “Ash moved the pickup for Lily to 2:45 PM (was 3:15 PM).”
  • Whoever had said “I’ll do it” is asked if it still works.

Good to know

  • Changing every day of a series never moves them all onto one date, and doesn’t change who has each day.
  • Rained out? Call off just that day instead of deleting it.
  • “Never” really means never: new weeks are added as the old ones pass.
