How the “nobody has this yet” nudges work, and how to change them

When a pickup still has nobody, Kid Pickup sends the parents and guardians a nudge 24 hours and 2 hours before it, plus one more at a time the family owner chooses (3 hours by default). The owner changes it in Settings, under Notifications, on the Unclaimed row.

Who can do this

Everyone can see the setting. Only the family owner can change it.

Step by step

Open Settings. Settings opens from your own picture at the top left of the screen.
Under Notifications, find Unclaimed.
Tap it to choose Off, 1h, 2h, 3h, 6h or 12h before.
The line underneath says when parents and guardians are now told.

What happens next

Each nudge has I’ll do it and Can’t make it buttons, so a parent can take it from the notification.
Every open pickup shows a Nudges card: which have gone out and which comes next.

Good to know

Off only turns off the extra nudge. The day-before and two-hours-before nudges always go.
Grandparents and sitters don’t get these nudges. They’re for the people running the week.
