How to use the To do list for homework, tests and forms
Open the Events tab and tap Add a task on the To do card. Choose what it is (homework, a test, a form), whose it is, when it’s due and who’s on it, then tap Add task. The app sends a reminder at 6 p.m. the evening before it’s due. Tick it off when it’s done.
Where to find it
- Events
- To do
- Add a task
Who can do this
The family owner, parents and guardians. Grandparents and sitters don’t see the list.
Step by step
Open the Events tab. The To do card is at the top.
Tap Add a task. (From the full list, it’s the + at the top right.)
Under What is it?, choose Homework, Assignment, Test, School trip, Form or To do, and give it a name.
Under Whose is it?, tap the child or children.
Under When is it due?, choose Today, Tomorrow, Pick a day or No day.
Under Who’s on it?, choose Any parent or one person.
Add Notes if you like, then tap Add task.
When it’s done, tick the circle beside it. Tap a task’s name to change or delete it.
What happens next
- At 6 p.m. the evening before it’s due, the app sends a reminder to whoever is on it, or to every parent and guardian if nobody is.
- Ticked-off tasks stay under Done for two weeks.
Good to know
- You can also add one with the +: choose Fill in the form, then To do under Event type.
- A task with No day, or one added after 6 p.m. the evening before, isn’t reminded.
- Tasks don’t show on the calendar, and repeating tasks aren’t available yet.
