How to join a family from an invitation
Tap Join in the invitation email (or the link you were texted). Install Kid Pickup if you haven’t, fill in your name, email and a password, and tap Join. Already have an account, or want Apple or Google? Tap I already have an account, sign in, and tap Accept Invitation. It’s free.
Where to find it
- Invitation email
- Join
Who can do this
Anyone who has been invited. Grandparents, sitters and the other parent never pay.
Step by step
In the invitation email, tap Join (it names the family). If you don’t have the app yet, install it from the App Store, then tap the button again.
The app says You’ve been invited, with the family’s name.
Fill in Your name, Email and Choose a password, and tap Join.
Pick your avatar. Parents and guardians can also add kids and invite others; grandparents and sitters finish on You’re all set.
Already have an account, or want Apple or Google? Tap I already have an account, sign in, then tap Accept Invitation.
What happens next
- You’re in the family straight away, and see its calendar the way your role allows.
Good to know
- Sign up with the email the invitation was sent to and you won’t need to confirm it.
- An invitation lasts 7 days. If it says expired or revoked, ask for a new one: sending it again replaces the old link.
- Can’t find the email? Look in Junk, or ask whoever invited you to share the link from your profile in their app.
