How to tell the family you’re there and the kids are picked up

On the day, open the pickup you have and tap I’m here when you arrive, then Picked up (or Dropped off) once you have the kids. The notification at pickup time has the same buttons. The family gets a notification at each step.

Where to find it

  1. Open the pickup
  2. I’m here
  3. Picked up

Who can do this

Whoever is doing the pickup. Needs Kid Pickup 1.6.2 or later on their phone.

Step by step

  1. At pickup time, the app sends “Time for the pickup” with an I’m here button. Tap it when you get there.

  2. Or open the pickup and tap I’m here. It shows on the day itself.

  3. Once you have the kids, tap Picked up, or Dropped off for a drop-off.

  4. For a drop-off and pickup, tap Dropped off in the morning and Picked up in the afternoon.

What happens next

  • The family gets “Arrived: Grandma is at Oakwood to pick up Lily”, then “Picked up: Grandma picked up Lily from Oakwood.”
  • The pickup shows the times: arrived at 3:12, picked up at 3:20.
  • If nobody taps Picked up, the app asks again 15 minutes later, and once more after an hour.

Good to know

  • On an older version of the app, the reminder still comes, and asks you to open the pickup and mark it done.
