How to get started with Kid Pickup

Download Kid Pickup, tap Create an account, and the app walks you through five steps: name your family, pick your avatar, add your kids, invite a grandparent or helper, and add your first pickup or activity. You can skip most steps and come back later from Settings.

Who can do this

Anyone starting a new family. The 14-day free trial starts when you name your family.

Step by step

Open Kid Pickup and tap Create an account. Sign up with your email, or with Sign up with Apple or Sign up with Google.
Signed up with email? Tap the link in the email we send you, then sign in.
Welcome to Kid Pickup: type your Family name, like “The Smiths”. Tap the house to give your family a picture. Tap Continue.
Pick your avatar, then tap Continue.
Add your kids: type a first name, pick a colour and a picture, and tap Add. Do the same for each child, then Continue.
Invite a grandparent or helper: choose who they are, type their name and email, and tap Send the invitation. Tap Share the link to text it to them too.
Add your first pickup or activity: choose Type it, Fill in the form, or I’ll do it later.

What happens next

Everyone you invited gets an email from you, with a button to join.
Home opens. Your first pickup, if you added one, is on the calendar for someone to say “I’ll do it”.

Good to know

Skip at the top right moves on from the avatar, kids and invite steps.
Signed in with the wrong Apple ID? The back arrow on the first step offers Back to sign in?

Is Kid Pickup free to start?

Yes. You get 14 days free when you name your family, with nothing to pay to start. Grandparents, sitters and anyone else you invite never pay.

Does everyone in my family need to sign up?

Everyone who wants the app joins from your invitation and makes their own login, for free. For someone who won’t use the app, you can send a single pickup as a link instead.
