What the number on the app icon and the bell mean
The number on the app icon counts unread news about pickups still to come, the same as the dot on the Events tab. Posts, chat and your own changes don’t count. The bell at the top right opens Activity, everything that’s happened; leaving it marks it all read.

Step by step
Tap the bell at the top right of any screen to open Activity.
Tap a line to open that pickup or post.
Tap Mark all as read, or just leave Activity: everything is marked read.
Opening a pickup also reads everything said about it.
Good to know
- The bell itself has no number. The dot is on the Events tab, and the number is on the app icon.
- Chat has its own dot and never adds to the number.
